I need the national number of children served by TANF for each fiscal year from 1999 to last available as a comparison for our state numbers or a location I can obtain that information. While this number used to be readily available I can now find only family or total participation. A child for our purposes is under 18, but if the data is available at other ranges and not available at 0-17 I would still be very grateful.
Are there any States that withhold TANF cash assistance pending an applicant's participation in Job Search or Job Readiness? If yes, which States?
North Carolina has requested examples of how States might currently be using TANF (or State MOE) funding to provide services for homeless families. Also, if there are funds provided to prevent homelessness, that would be helpful. Please advise of any such practices and provide a contact person.
