2022 Regions 9 and 10 Virtual Tribal TANF and NEW Technical Assistance Meeting

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Family Assistance (OFA) held the 2022 Regions 9 and 10 Virtual Tribal TANF and NEW Technical Assistance Meeting on August 23-25, 2022. This virtual event provided TANF and NEW program representatives an opportunity to attend sessions that highlighted Tribal TANF and NEW essentials; enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in OFA’s partnerships with tribal grantees; financial management; programs’ innovative practices to expand accessible and individualized services for Tribal TANF and NEW participants; and strengthening partnerships between Tribal TANF/NEW and Child Welfare. Meeting participants also met during peer-to-peer sessions to discuss and brainstorm on various topics pertaining to Tribal TANF and NEW programs. An inspirational speaker concluded the meeting with a closing address to inspire and empower participants for the future.
