Towards Equity in Apprenticeship

This Aspen Institute blog post by a researcher at the Center on Wisconsin Strategy (COWS) reviews how to make equity a focus of successful apprenticeship programs. Three key areas – program, people, and policy – need to be aligned to extend skills to a more diverse, disadvantaged, and nontraditional workforce. Some model programs are briefly described that implement this broader equity-focused vision for apprenticeships.
