Providing Services to Immigrant Workers and Refugees - Starting With Trust: Yes, WIOA Can!

Immigrants and refugees are critical to filling the workforce pipeline that is necessary for employers to thrive. The U.S. Department of Labor, Employment and Training Administration will host a webinar on February 23, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ET which will begin a conversation with workforce system entities, community-based organizations, one-stop staff and partners, and workforce boards to build an understanding of how to create trust, find tools for improving services and understand how to use refugee and immigrant assets to engage in meaningful and self-sustaining work. Further, the webinar will initiate a discussion about services for Immigrant Workers and Refugees that will extend into an invitation-only peer-to-peer discussion three weeks later.
