The Evidence Behind Approaches that Drive an End to Homelessness

The U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness has prepared a policy brief and fact sheet on evidence-based Housing First approaches to improving housing outcomes. These approaches for addressing homelessness recognize the need to: prioritize people experiencing homelessness for new and existing affordable housing; provide rapid re-housing to families and individuals; and offer supportive housing for persons with most intense needs, including those with disabilities or long histories of homelessness.
