After Great Recession, More Married Fathers Providing Child Care

In this brief from the University of New Hampshire’s Carsey School of Public Policy, the author examines findings that show the rise in father-provided child care. During the recent recession, many fathers lost wages or their jobs entirely. As a result, families had to reallocate fathers’ and mothers’ time and change long-standing familial gender roles.
