A representative from the New Mexico Human Services Department wants to know: are there any states who currently utilize Financial Coaching as a way to assist participants in being more prepared when they are no longer receiving Public Assistance (TANF, SNAP, Child Care Services, etc.) ?

A representative from the Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) would like to know if any other states or tribes deem virtual currency countable for TANF eligibility and if so, how are they implementing this? If VDSS were to do this, they would need to update their state program guidance to reflect how it would be countable. In addition, their state's cash management system would need to be updated to automatically convert virtual currency to US dollars when program participants indicate receipt of income with virtual currency.

A representative from the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is looking to connect with states that have implemented TANF funded 50/50 match programming for TANF eligible employment and training participants. The representative wants to know:

• How difficult was the implementation of education and training services where 50% of the cost of providing services to TANF participants is reimbursed by the state?
• What lessons were learned?

A representative of the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources would like to know if any states contract out TANF case management or eligibility determination and if so, with whom do they partner?

A representative of the NYS Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance asks, "How does an organization address the need to gather information from TANF recipients about how they assess their experience participating in work and treatment requirements?"

A representative of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity is interested in learning if any states are using non-recurrent short-term benefits (NRST) in Teen Pregnancy Programs.

A representative from the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services asks states and territories that offer non-recurrent TANF benefits: what type of benefit is offered; is there a cap or maximum amount; what criteria are used to determine when the benefit is issued and what is the process; and what is the respondent’s name, email address or phone number in case there are follow up questions?

In light of the current COVID-19 pandemic, a representative of Lake County Social Services in Lower Lake, California is interested in finding out how counties are supporting their TANF staff working from home, as well as what important items are necessary to include when developing a written policy for telework. Additionally, what issues have counties encountered when allowing staff to work from home, such as breach of confidentiality, worker's comp injuries, and damage to county equipment?

A representative from the Oklahoma Department of Human Services is interested in learning how other states utilize third-party MOE, specifically: what MOE do they use (other than Pre-K), how do they set up the third-party MOE, and do they use Boys and Girls Clubs of America for MOE and if so, please describe that agreement and process.

A representative of Nevada Department of Health and Human Services is considering the possibility of expanding benefits and services under their Kinship Care program to children placed with non-parent relative caregivers 18 years of age or older in instances where removal from the home is due to the parent(s)’ substance abuse issues. They are seeking information from other states that may currently be offering such services or are considering doing so.
Their questions are:
1. How does the state identify this population?
2. What other agencies does the state TANF program work with to identify and determine eligibility for this population?
3. What funds is the state using to help support the program?
4. Is the state using Opioid Funds to serve this population?
5. What data points has the state established to track/measure?
6. Does the state have a website or a public dashboard that captures statistics for this population?
7. What steps has the state taken to identify this population’s existing and emerging needs?
