The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) gives communities the opportunity to change that, but doing so takes deliberate effort. This Heartland Alliance sponsored webinar featured advocacy organizations, philanthropic institutions, and community-based service providers who are working to ensure that WIOA state and local planning takes into account the needs of the workforce and the interests of individuals facing barriers to employment.
