USICH and SARS-CoV-2: The Federal Response for Families and Individuals Experiencing Homelessness
This report on COVID-19 examines the incidence of positive cases and fatalities within the current homeless population and reviews COVID-19’s impact on individuals and families experiencing homelessness from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2020. The report also identifies initiatives and activities undertaken by the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness, in conjunction with the COVID-19 Homelessness Interagency Work Group, for information sharing, improving situational awareness among different categories of homeless populations, and planning for the long-term effects of COVID-19 among the affected population and service providers for persons experiencing homelessness.
