Understanding the Intersection Between TANF and Refugee Cash Assistance Services: Findings from a Survey of State Refugee Coordinators

The Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation brief shares findings of the 2017 survey of State Refugee Coordinators (SRC) that was conducted as part of the Understanding the Intersection between TANF and Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Service study to analyze how programs can increase self-sufficiency and employment among refugee populations. The study looked at how programs operate in different parts of the country, how states are integrating TANF and RCA to serve refugees, as well as what approaches work best with this population.
