Mapping the Solution: Equitable Career Advancement for Entry-Level Healthcare Employees

Evaluations of the Health Profession Opportunity Grants (HPOG) program indicate that career advancement after entry-level employment remains a challenge. This brief explores how career pathways programs like HPOG can partner with employers to develop equity-centered advancement models to address turnover and fill gaps in healthcare specializations while supporting workers by increasing hours, pay, and responsibilities without changing their job titles.
