The Long, Hard Path to Employment

People with a lack of employment history, skills gaps, disabilities, a reentry history, language and literacy challenges, homelessness, and other barriers must wage a challenging and protracted job search to become employed. The National Association of Workforce Development Professionals will host a virtual session on August 22, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. CDT that will share innovative program designs and powerful motivational strategies to sustain job seekers over the long haul to getting a job offer. It will also discuss how to help job seekers realistically set their expectations to match the reality of the labor market. There is a registration fee for participation.
