Job Characteristics and Satisfaction Among Participants from Four Employment Coaching Programs

Helping people move into employment is a central goal for Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) programs, but participants may face barriers that make finding work difficult. This Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation report examines employment coaching programs that help people set goals, identify next steps, and work through challenges related to employment. The research offers insights into how individualized coaching can support participants as they pursue work and build the skills needed to move toward their goals. This resource is valuable to TANF programs designing or evaluating programs aimed at improving job outcomes, helping guide their participants toward jobs that better align with their needs.
