Ensuring Equity in Future Subsidized Employment Programs: The Critical Role of Nonprofits, Public Agencies, and Social Enterprises

This research-to-practice brief summarizes findings of two large-scale federal projects that evaluated 13 subsidized employment programs in eight states targeting disadvantaged workers. The brief addresses two questions from the findings: which types of subsidized employment programs were best able to place disadvantaged workers in jobs, and what are the implications for future subsidized employment programs?
