Economic and Fiscal Impact of Refugees in Colorado
This study was commissioned by the Colorado Department of Human Services and conducted by ICF to better understand the economic impact of thousands of refugees who now call Colorado home. It specifically focuses on the impact of the public support given to refugees and their wage earnings over time. In addition to the economic data, the study includes three case studies to provide a fuller picture of the issue. Findings indicate that for each public dollar spent, the state received more back in taxes and economic impact than it spent.
