Creating a Sense of Belonging

This blogpost summarizes findings from an Annie E. Casey Foundation convening of young people of color, elders, thought leaders, and youth movement organizers designed to identify ways to create inclusive environments and advance racial equity for young people where they live, work, and play. It also highlights seven key components of belonging that were developed based on work from the Othering & Belonging Institute at the University of California at Berkeley and scholar john a. powell, Director of the Institute.
