This toolkit by the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative is designed to develop strong employment pathways and work opportunities for the 4.9 million youth between 16 and 24 that are out of school and out of work. The toolkit is designed to assist community-based organizations and other intermediaries to understand regional workforce needs including labor market and employer, and to gain the knowledge required to guide youth towards employment. The youth toolkit is composed of six modules: Understanding Workforce Needs, Understanding the Talent Pipeline, Developing a Community Strategy, Holding Hiring Fairs (module under development), and Building out Paths to Employment. The end goal is to increase the prosperity of youth and of the economy.
