Advancing Race Equity in TANF via Training & Staff Development

In support of the Office of Family Assistance’s exploration of the role of race equity in the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, the American Public Human Services Association (APHSA) and BLH Technologies, Inc. (BLH) conducted a Learning Cohort for TANF administrators focused on supporting the design of staff development and training that promotes race equity within TANF programs. To share the extensive feedback, resources and insight gained from this initiative, APHSA and BLH created a video, which overviews how TANF leaders can create resources and develop concepts to successfully advance race equity using training and staff development. The video complements the Advancing Race Equity in TANF via Training & Staff Development Toolkit, which can be found at Advancing Race Equity in TANF via Training & Staff Development Toolkit | Peer TA Network - TANF (hhs.gov).
