Addressing Racial Inequities in Child Welfare: View from Early Childhood Education

The Kansas Racial Equity Collaborative is a statewide effort to understand the history of racial inequities in child welfare and to define the problem with a shared language to facilitate advocating for racial equity in child welfare. The Collaborative will continue its collaborative lecture webinar series on October 27, 2021 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. CT, offering a perspective on racial inequities in early childhood education. Iheoma U. Iruka, founding director of the Equity Research Action Coalition at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s Frank Porter Graham Child Development Institute, will present.
