ACF Convening Black Experience Community Roundtables

The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) hosted roundtable discussions with the public to hear directly from Black and African American people about their experiences with ACF programs such as Head Start, child care, cash assistance, and foster care, and their encounters with racism and bias. ACF’s goal was to listen, learn, and understand challenges so they can address the barriers that Black people are facing. ACF wanted to center the perspectives of their program participants into their policies, programs, and operations. These roundtable discussions took place on July 22, 2022, July 12, 2022, August 3, 2022, and August 4, 2022.
