A representative from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources would like to gather information from States regarding legislation for drug testing of TANF individuals. It would be helpful to contact States with this legislation to gather statistical information about the outcome of the legislation. How many TANF individuals have been tested in your State and how many of those were positive? Contact information would be helpful.

West Virginia is in the process of revising their current Personal Responsibility Contract (PRC) form for WV WORKS (TANF) adults. Currently, West Virginia's Personal Responsibility Contract includes goals, list of barriers, and specific assignments/activities for the client. If your State has a Personal Responsibility Contract or similarly named form, and is willing to collaborate with West Virginia, please contact Michael Lobert, WVDHHR, Family Support Policy, at michaellobert@wvdhhr.org.

Do any States have video materials on the EITC that are played in social services offices?

I have heard information that some States are providing cars to TANF recipients. Are these States actually providing the money to the client and allowing the client to purchase his/her own car? Are there any less expensive alternative methods, or suggestions to providing this service?
