State Sector Strategies: Regional Solutions to Worker and Employer Needs

Many States are implementing sector strategies in their workforce and economic development policies. Sector strategies build partnerships, which include employers, community organizations, and other key stakeholders around specific sectors to best meet the needs of employers and job readiness needs of workers. This issue brief, from the National Governors Association, Center for Best Practices, provides an overview of various sector strategies and offers recommendations for States to launch their own partnership.
