Connecticut has provided detailed back-up documentation to its Federal TANF fiscal reports. CT has included its State share of pass-throughs in its MOE. For more information contact Lee Voghel, Director of Fiscal Analysis at the CT Dept. of Social Services at 860-424-5842.
The State continues to pass through the first $50 of child support collected to the TANF family. These amounts are charged to the MOE. Ross Robbins, Fiscal Director at the New Jersey Division of Family Development, indicates that the State share is claimed and is disregarded for TANF eligibility determination purposes. Mr. Robbins can be contacted at 609- 588-2409.
Washington State has no State pass-through provision at this time. Under a proposed US Senate bill (by Sen. Kohl of Wisconsin) the Federal government would forgive their share if the State disregards 50% of the pass-through for TANF eligibility.
