Investing in Low-Wage Workers: Lessons from Family Child Care in Rhode Island

Providing child care is one of the fastest growing occupations in the country; however, most positions are low-wage. This report discusses the mission of a group of mostly Latina and African American women living and working in some of Rhode Island’s poorest neighborhoods -- charged to improve family child care for low-income families and the women providing care.
