Instruments That Measure Youth Engagement and Facilitator Quality: A Toolkit for Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) Grant Recipients

The Sexual Risk Avoidance Education (SRAE) grant program—a federally funded adolescent pregnancy prevention initiative administered by the Family and Youth Services Bureau—teaches youth how to voluntarily refrain from non-marital sexual activity. This Office of Planning, Research and Evaluation toolkit provides information on instruments that SRAE grant recipients can use to measure youth engagement in SRAE programs and what facilitators do in the classroom that promotes this engagement. Measuring youth engagement and facilitator quality may inform program improvement efforts.
