Child Care Deserts: Developing Solutions to Child Care Supply and Demand

This report from Child Care Aware of America explores the existence of child care deserts, areas in which the supply of high-quality child care is less than the demand for it. Child Care Aware conducted focus groups with parents in seven states and interviews with child care leaders around the nation. The report provides lessons learned from states seeking to address deserts as well as policy recommendations for administrative stakeholders.
