ACF Announces Call for Recommendations on Domestic Violence Prevention and Support Programs and Services to Help Strengthen Families
The Administration for Children and Families (ACF) is accepting recommendations for domestic violence prevention and support programs to be reviewed for potential inclusion in the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse. The goal is to expand the range of evidence-based services states can access for federal reimbursement to support children and families at risk of domestic violence or intimate partner violence. Eligible programs must address at least one of four areas: mental health prevention and treatment, substance use prevention and treatment, in-home parenting skills, or kinship navigation. Programs must also have publicly available documentation explaining their components and implementation.
This call for recommendations highlights opportunities to strengthen coordination between domestic violence services and family support systems. Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) practitioners can use the announcement to explore partnerships with domestic violence service providers and consider how services address safety, family stability, and barriers to employment. Organizations with eligible programs may also submit them for consideration, potentially helping expand the evidence-based options available to support families and prevent child welfare involvement.
