The Peer TA Network would like to know what States are doing in regards to education and training on the issue of statutory rape so that teenage pregnancy prevention is expanded to include men?

A representative from the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services' Employment Program would like to know if States have any resources that they use when helping individuals with criminal backgrounds.

The Peer TA Network would like to know if any States, Tribes, and local TANF programs have innovative strategies for engaging and working with their child welfare counterparts to address child-only cases and at-risk families?

A representative from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families would like to know if any states provide cash incentives to noncustodial parents (NCP's) as a component of TANF employment programs?

The Peer TA Network is curious to know what strategies States and/or counties use to provide services that don't count as assistance/do not impact the Work Participation Rate (WPR), but do allow enough flexibility to provide specialized services to minor parents living with a responsible adult. What are the specific strategies your location is using to provide services with Separate State Program, Maintenance of Effort, or non-assistance TANF dollars? What partners (if any) are you working with to provide the services, what are the results on the youth, and what impact has this approach had on your overall program and your WPR?

The Peer TA Network would like to know if any programs use TANF funds or leverage other public/private funds to offer services specific for addressing the needs of teen parents? Please provide a brief description of the program/project and explain its purpose/mission.

A representative from the Arkansas Department of Workforce Services would like to know if any State has implemented a Subsidized Guardianship Program? The Arkansas State Legislature requested that DWS complete a feasibility study regarding the establishment of a Subsidized Guardianship Program. Please share some information regarding the major decision points (funding, eligibility, etc.) during the decision-making process.

A representative from the Summit County Department of Job and Family Services would like to know if any State uses the Vocational Habilitation disability model to meet TANF work participation and to move generational TANF customers into employment? These are services designed to teach and reinforce concepts related to work, including responsibility, attendance, task completion, problem solving, social interaction, motor skill development and safety. Is it possible to use the approach that Goodwill and other agencies use that work with people with developmental disabilities?

A representative from the Colorado Department of Human Services would like to know if any States know of web-based, self-paced domestic violence trainings (not college courses) and/or Family Violence Option (FVO) training? Colorado is in the process of building web-based, self-paced training for TANF workers regarding the FVO.

The Peer TA Network would like to know if States know of programs that assist adolescents (15 and over) on TANF attain self-sufficiency when aging out of the Program at 18? This would not include programs for teen mothers who are covered by other TANF programs.
