OFA Webinar: How the Online Work Readiness Assessment (OWRA) Tool Helps Address Housing Insecurity for TANF Eligible Individuals and Families

Housing instability is one of many challenges individuals and families face as they seek sustainable wages to attain self-sufficiency. The Office of Family Assistance’s webinar on April 24, 2019 from 2:00 – 3:30 p.m. ET will highlight how to identify housing insecure individuals and families and how the OWRA tool can assist. Speakers will include: Rachel Gwilliam, Family Assistance Program Specialist, Administration for Children and Families; Sharon McDonald, Senior Fellow, National Alliance to End Homelessness; Roselinda Torres Rolph, WTW Program Specialist, Fresno County Department of Social Services; and Phil Harris, Assistant Director, Arkansas Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Program. They will provide a national overview regarding homelessness and the housing crisis in the United States, as well as practical experience in using the OWRA tool to assess strengths, identify barriers, and offer resources to bring resolution to those challenges.
