2022 Regions IV-VIII Tribal TANF and NEW Programs Virtual Meeting

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Office of Family Assistance (OFA) held the 2022 Regions IV-VIII Tribal TANF and NEW Programs Virtual Meeting on August 16-18, 2022. This virtual event offered sessions on Tribal TANF and NEW program partnership opportunities and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in OFA’s partnerships with tribal grantees. Meeting participants also engaged during breakout sessions on Tribal TANF and NEW program fundamentals; COVID-19’s impact on the economy and workforce and trends for in-demand jobs post-COVID; and customer supports and needs for engaging in the job market today, where they brainstormed common challenges and opportunities. An inspirational speaker concluded the meeting, reflecting on how to inspire motivation and promote lasting resiliency among staff.
