Tips to Implementation: The success of the program depends on meeting the needs of clients. Therefore, it is recommended that new agencies assess the needs of clientele in the community and base programs on those needs. Additionally, it is important to provide clients with customized care. For a substance abuse treatment program to be successful, it must be creative with strategies and services and willing to explore new ideas.

Be willing to try new things
Be willing to "think outside the box"

Challenges: Securing funds is the biggest challenge. The vision of the executive director is to meet consumer needs first and secure the funding later. For example, there are no parenting programs for men with children. The Odyssey Village takes them in and provides the same level of service despite the lack of funding.
