Tips to Implementation: A program such as this requires including the family in treatment and doing whatever it takes to meet the adolescent's needs. It also requires a professional, experienced, and mentally healthy staff since the relationship established between an adolescent and the staff is of paramount importance and vital for the process of change to occur. Both quality and stability of staff are important. With the community as the primary change agent, the continuing challenge is to balance the needs of the adolescent as an individual and as a community member.
